Another fun-filled day with darling!

Went to the Toshiba service centre to collect my laptop. Finally got it fixed after sooo long! Very happy to get it back because the layout on the desktop computer is weird for some reasons. So now I can upload photos and type using the laptop... hurray!

Thereafter, went to the nearest bus stop and see where the buses will lead us to. There were only like 2 buses so we decided to take 23 to bugis area. Walked to Iluma and found this cafe/restaurant to sit down so we can watch "The Orphanage" using the laptop and eat something at the same time. Actually there's 2 movies in my thumbdrive, "The Sister's Keeper" and "The Orphanage". Boon transfered them to me. But due to some format problems and other reasons "The Sister's Keeper" can't be played so watched "The Orphanage" in the end. The food was super delicious! Love the mushroom crepe! The show was pretty good with some gore scenes here and there. Kinda freaked me out a bit. It's a show where you have to pay close attention right from the beggining to the end. Because they will keep you in suspense and reveal the reason on why that happened earlier on and show something to make you question and reveal later and it keeps repeating.

There were Christmas Trees at the ground level so we took some pictures there! I laughed so hard because of various jokes and things he said. Super funny! Haha. So here are some of the pictures we took.... together with pictures of the food which darling took.

After having been through a week of intense emotions with a couple of ups and downs moments, I'm finally sitting in front of my laptop typing this with a happy heart. Went to Giraffe with Kat and Boon to drink since it was Ladies Night on Tuesday. Really a nice place to chill and chat. Very nice experience. I've always wanted to sit in a place like that to drink some colourful cocktail. Met up with DD too as she finished her As, finally. She came over to my place first before going to TPI for dinner at Subway. It felt like years since the last time we met, I even wondered if she had changed. Haha. Thanks for the company that night. At last, met up with darling. After all these, I just want to say I love you.

Special moments.

True Friends.... are those who'll appear at times when you are down. Those who'll laugh with you even if they don't know what the joke is all about. Those who understands even before you've spoken a word. Those who tell you the truth and share almost everything. Thank God, I'm fortunate to have met them in my life.

Last week was fitness week! Had captain's ball and Badominton (in jap) with fellow classmates! I'm so addicted to Badominton now... haha.
Next week will be a busy one with APEC, streaming and lessons. With all the things that I've got to anticipate and prepare at the back of my head, it is suffocating me!  Hope the week will pass like a bullet train.

Good luck darling and friends for As (:

I've been wanting to make sushi and finally manage to carry out that mission today! It was rather impromptu to make sushi today because it wasn't planned before hand.

Woke up in the morning and went with mum to have prata and chee cheong fan for breakfast at the coffee shop. Then walked around tpy central. Bought some stuff at Watsons then headed to FairPrice. Initially, was thinking of making on one of the days next week. But since we were already at the super mart so decided to buy the ingredients today. Carried loads of heavy bags home because we bought 2 packets of rice! One short grain rice for the sushi and another chinese fragrance rice for home cooking. Will develop muscles after this.. haha.

Showed my mum a couple of sushi making videos that I've watched before. Then we started this sushi mission together. It was really fun doing it! Partly because I was doing for my darling (: Was thinking of keeping some in a box so I could bring it to school for him tomorrow but my mum said it will turn bad after the night because of the cucumber and stuff. Thank goodness darling was at his godma's place which is at amk so called him and asked if he can drop by at tpy. I was so excited to pass him the sushi and this pooh bear sanitizer I got this afternoon (I've got the piglet one. haha.). Honestly, it doesn't taste as good or look as good as those selling outside but he still ate it. Hmmm.. I think it's not bad too with the fact that this is my first time making it. Here are some pictures........

And some yummy-licious birthday cakes (Taken some time back) ....

I'm still in a holiday! Woohoo! Feels so good to do whatever I want without having to worry about school work. Well... Yesterday I went over to cousin Sue's place since I've promised her 2 weeks ago that I'll pop by some day. Met Shu before that cause she happened to be in Toa Payoh. She accompanied me to Body Shop to get Passion Fruit shower gel for my aunt cause her birthday is coming this Sunday and to FairPrice to grab some fruits and tidbits. Followed her for lunch before leaving for my cousin's place.

Grandma still the same. Maybe more frail than the past but still can't move and dependent on others... Stayed for a while before going back. Met darling for dinner because he finished lesson when I was in the bus. Found it very amazing that the train was able to bring me from Woodlands to Hougang, although with the fact that I have to change twice but it wasn't that much of a hassle because the train came whenever I arrived at the door. Cool huh! And it's my first time travelling on the circle line! Transport really expensive, moreover, I'm still a student. I want back the student fare!!!

Going to start work tomorrow and will be working for 5 days consecutively. Hope everything will go smoothly...
After the 5 days assignment, I'm going to make sushi! *excited* Bought this sushi mould the other day from Daiso and watched videos on sushi making. Shu just reminded me yesterday that I can ask her for help. Then I can share it with my family, my friends and also for my darling! ((:

A dragonfly at a garden. Taken while walking to the stadium for a run with love.

The last week was spent rather productively. Wished it never has to come to an end... This is a beginning of a new week. Hmmm let's see what I am going to do this week. Will be going with DD to Pris Birthday BBQ at Downtown tomorrow and to Sarah's house for a mini belated birthday celebration! Also, thinking of making spaghetti some time this week and pop by over at Cousin Sue's place(:

P.S. Happy Birthday to Esther and Sarah!!!

I have a burning question to ask but not sure if it's appropriate to ask. I have a request that may be unreasonable to you. What am I to do.

Exams are over and waiting for results now. Oh man... really hope it'll turn out fine. Prays very hard....

Anyway life's been good so far. A dramatic turning point happened and changed my life. Okay maybe not that dramatic but it has definitely changed some stuff. It's a good turning point though. Have been spending time with love. Been a really happy happy girl. We went to watch "Where Got Ghost" yesterday at TM before heading to Ikea to hunt for a storage box because he wants to clear up his room. Really enjoyed going there because of the food and ambience. Moreover, there weren't many people there so both of us just took our time to eat and walk around. Sat down at our preferred housing concept and chill out. The sofa were so comfortable to sit on, like it fit your body shape and just sink into it. Cushions were huggable with nicely printed simplistic design on it. The lighting were dim and not hush to our eyes and was made perfect with the cool air condition. Marvelous!!! haha. Then accompanied love back with his new wide and short plastic translucent  box before heading back home <3

Today was outing with DD to watch "The Final Destination 4" at PS. Though DD wanted to watch in 3D, I begged her to watch in 2D because I was afraid it may be too gore and will linger in my mind for a long time. The movie was not bad with a few comical scenes. The smashing of bodies by pillars and ceilings, piercing of sharp objects through the heads and torso and bodies flying everywhere were rather fake. But I rather it be like this because if it was too real, I may not be able to take it. DD and I used the shawl I brought as cover... just in case. Haha. We were discussing like what will happen next, who will be the next one, whether it will be like this or like that. People around us also made funny comments. One guy was like "Oh shou (cooked) already, can eat." when this girl was smashed into a lump of flash by a tire. After the movie, DD accompanied me to Wheelock to Nokia Centre because I needed to get something fixed. And back to Toa Payoh for dinner and home. Weather was great today! The air feels fresh and cool. Love it.

All time favourite.

Four days ago during my journey to Far East in a bus, I overheard these two Secondary school boys' conversation. The older one asked "So how did they bully you" and the younger one replied "The scold vulgarities at me, scold my father and also my country". Both are foreign students, and lvery rich because both live in the Orchard area. The elder one even mention that he have another house in Bukit Timah but it's rented out so he's living in the Orchard apartment instead. And the conversation continue... "If they ever bully you again, let me know. I'm graduating in a few months so they won't expel me. Don't worry." Then they younger boy added " Yeah ok. I don't like Singaporeans. All my friends are also foreigners. I don't have a single Singaporean friend". The older boy agreed with him, "I think so too, I think Singaporeans are f---ing racist". I was shocked when I heard that and realised that was what foreigners actually thought of us. Because what has been portrayed by the media and some foreign students in my secondary school were never like this, it was quite sad and depressing to find out the truth.

I mean we hear racist remarks here and there from time to time, but some people may actually feel hurt and depressed because of these remarks. There was another occasion when I witnessed a group of lians and bengs creating havoc at the back of a double deck bus, I was so pissed off with them but never had the guts to tell them off. All I did was glared at this girl who came to in front of me. Will you tell a stranger off in public? It depends on the situation for me.They were making so much noise with all the vulgarities and playing music through the phone on loud speaker. Some passengers even turned to look at them. They set such bad image for teenage Singaporeans.
It made me wonder why they are like this. Did their parents or school even inculcate them with the correct values? How to solve cases of teenage rebellion? (Reminded me of the project some of my classmates did).

Anyway on a lighter note, I spent my past few days efficiently and happily. ((:

A Star inside a Papaya. (Ok it may seems a little gross. Shu should see this. haha)

Saturday after comm skills test was outing with loser gang at Vivocity. Happy because our clique finally reunite once again. Had fun and taken many pictures. Nice (:
National Day on Sunday was fun with DD, Qing Qing and love. Fireworks was really amazing. From our view, it was so big and giltter like diamond in the sky. We said the pledge too at 822.  Dinner after celebration at J8 Subway. Yummiliciouss!

Anyway here's a short clip to share. Xiu told me about it and said it's really touching and worth watching. And yes, you should watch it.
(Sorry couldn't embed because the function was disabled. Don't be lazy. It's just a click away. haha.)

If you can't view it, go youtube and type in "Partly Cloudy Pixar". It's a 5 min clip. Cheers (:

Our lives all started looking like this. So tiny that you can't even touch or see. I was watching "Sudden Deaths" on Discovery and there was this part of the programme where they said how to eliminate the problem of  this genetic heart disease right from the beginning of a new life. This heart problem kills men during their sleep and doesn't show any symptom before. All deceased are men in their prime years and just leave behind their love ones without notice. So by examing the embryo, especially those who has past family records of members who died in this manner, the next generation wouldn't have to suffer the same fate.

Then I thought it was so amazing that all of us looked like this. It's like totally different from how we look like today. We're like all the same. It's just that as we grow we are crafted into different people. Different appearance, different character and other things. The mind of a baby is just like a plain sheet of paper and it depends how our parents and environment shape us. Taking a step back and looking at life from a bigger perspective is actually quite interesting.

Cheers!

It's Sunday. Li ting a ling a ling will be back today! Will be going to her place to give her a warm welcome back to her homeland. Weeks pass really fast these days, it just come and go like a speedo train.

Yesterday evening was out with Gerald. Had a really satisfying dinner at Food Republic. I had grilled fish with rice while he had bee hoon with a variety of dishes. And definitely not missing out on the fried bao and sweet potato! haha. I felt like I was 3 months pregnant and my eyes were shutting by itself after that. hahaha. Then sat down at the platform to enjoy the gentle evening breeze outside for quite a while then bused home. Love you (:

The future... is unpredictable. However it changes is not within our control. We can crave out the future we want, but what happens along the way is not what we can avoid. I'm afriad whenever I think of it these days. It makes me feel vulnerable and gives me jitters Somehow it gets into my daily life and destroy my mood as and when it like. I'm not going to let it ruin my day... moreover with all those projects, presentation and exams coming up. I'm happy and grateful with what I have now. I'll deal with whatever that's going to come later.

Oh oh EVERYONE! Look out for ECLIPSE on JULY 22! Egggciting ((:

Read Mind Your Body and came across this article...

Happiness is... little happy moments

Happiness is something to keep in mind:
People who appreciates small moments of happiness, laughter and joy through the course of each day tend to be happy people who are more likely to be resilient against adversity and more successful in jobs, relationships and heath outcomes.
Researchers reached this conclusion after a series of studies that required 86 participants to submit daily "emotional reports" that gauged their emotional status in detail over the course of the day.
The study showed that happy people do not need to be Pollyannas or deny the upsetting parts of life. However, these people have the ability to put greater stock in small, happy moments.
Savouring these blips of pleasure in everyday life, the study found, elavates one's mood overall and leads more resilient in negative events.
The study, published in the current issue of the journal Emotion, was co-authored by researchers at the University of California, San Francisco, the University of Michigan, University of Pittsburgh and Cornell University

Went to school to do comm skill project with fellow group mates in the morning till early afternoon.
Then off to meet gerald! Decided to go to Marina Square to have our yummilicious XIAO LONG BAO.

Was really extremely full to the max after dinner. Didnt wanna move. If there was a bed next to me at that that moment, I would just lie there and sleep. But unfortunately, there was none. So off to take a walk to stay awake and get our food in our tummies digested. Shopped around and saw interesting things in the shops. Love the earrings but was kinda pricy. Then walked to this garden place upstairs, found a seat and sat down, Fell asleep for a short while because the breeze was really nice. Blow you away to your lalaland. And other on the otherside was the floating platform where the NDP people were rehearsing for National Day. The music was really loud. Time was getting late so Gerald sent me home and he went home after that.

Smiley face we made while eating.

Happy. Jumps around.
